PURPOSE:To provide the driving apparatus for a stepping motor, wherein it is provided with a protective function against an overcurrent generated by the interphase shortcircuit, the erroneous connection or the like of a lead terminal for the stepping motor. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus is constituted in such a way that an overcurrent detection circuit (composed of an R1 and a transistor) and a switching means (composed of an SCR, a Tr and the like) which shuts off the driving current of a stepping motor by a signal detected by the overcurrent detection circuit are installed on a current supply line to a drive circuit 8A for the motor. |
