<p>PURPOSE:To reduce thinning and cutting, etc., in copying without increasing the density of an image edge part and characters for the characters whose horizontal lines are thin by enlarging read original images in a main scanning direction or in a sub- scanning direction. CONSTITUTION:When an image thickening key 11 for instructing an image enlargement work is pressed, an image thickening direction is changed to horizontal, vertical, both horizontal and vertical and cancellation and display devices 12-14 are successively lighted corresponding to an input mode. When an image enlargement work mode is inputted, an enlargement width is displayed by a dot unit at width display devices 18 and 19. The enlargement width is set for one dot vertically and horizontally at the time of an initial enlargement mode and the input direction of a thickening width is selected by vertically and horizontally independent horizontal width setting key 16 and vertical width setting key 17. As the setting procedure of the enlargement width, in the case of setting the horizontal direction for instance, when the horizontal width setting key 16 is pressed, a horizontal direction enlargement width setting mode is attained and the numerical value of the width display device 18 flickers. Then, the enlargement width is set by pressing ten keys 20 and a set value is defined by pressing an enter key 21.</p> |
