PURPOSE:To obtain an optical information recording medium which can be reproduced with a recording and reproducing device for CD and to detect tracking error by successively laminating a high-refractive index layer, a thermoplastic resin layer, a light absorbing layer, and a light reflecting layer on a transparent substrate having guide grooves. CONSTITUTION:This optical information recording medium is formed by successively laminating a high-refractive index layer 2, a recording layer 5 consisting of, the thermoplastic resin layer 3, and the light absorbing layer 4, the light reflecting layer 6, and a protective layer 7 on a discoid transparent substrate 1 in which guide grooves 8 are formed. The recording layer 5 is irradiated with laser light at specified reproducing power while the optical recording medium is rotated and the light source is moved in the radial direction of the medium. The reflection of light is observed. Since the reflection amount of light differs between a pit part and a part where no pit is formed, the changes of the amount of reflected light is detected according to the information pit pattern. By transferring the change of the amount of the reflected light, information data are reproduced. |
