<p>PURPOSE:To cover a wire with foamed resin while the degree of foaming of the resin is stable so as to uniform cover thickness and to enhance responsiveness and accuracy by rapidly raising extrusion speed to a set value irrespective of linear velocity. CONSTITUTION:The extrusion speed of an extruding machine 2 is raised to a set value (n) irrespective of the linear velocity (v) of wire 5. An overflow valve 3 is opened and foamed resin extruded from the extruding machine 2 is forced to overflow from a passage and the opening of the overflow valve 3 is adjusted and controlled by an opening control portion 23 until the degree of foaming becomes stable. The linear velocity (v) is detected using a velocity sensor 20 and the value is compared with a set value, and when the linear velocity (v) reaches a predetermined value, a rotary actuator 19 is operated to supply the foamed resin to a crosshead 4 to cover the wire 5.</p> |
