<p>PURPOSE: To effectively change the density and size of dots. CONSTITUTION: A printer controller 28 sends transmitted picture data to a laser unit 26 and the unit 26 projects prescribed light upon a donor member 36 through an optical fiber 24, an array 24a, a zoom lens 32, and a printing head 14. Consequently, the dye on the donor member 36 is transferred to a receiving member 36. The controller 28 performs half-tone printing by controlling the light emission from the laser unit 26 in accordance with a dot matrix value indicating the density of dots and a sub-dot matrix value indicating the density of one dot. In addition, the zoom lens 32 expands or contacts the dot matrix value.</p> |
