PURPOSE: To prevent data (information) in a disk from being destroyed by a virus program. CONSTITUTION: This circuit has an address decoder means 420, means for storing a protection program while being connected to a data bus, buffer memory means 440 to be utilized by the protection program, and an operation sensing means 450 for monitoring the direct use of a hardware and a floppy disk controller without operating the protection program, and the destruction of information stored in the disk caused by the virus program is prevented through a 1st stage for selection only at the time of initializing and writing functions to directly affect the disk under functioning requested after the operation sensing circuit 450 is disabled, 2nd stage for judging whether or not the protection program is to be used, 3rd stage for discriminating the state of the disk and a requested write area, and 4th stage for performing processing by judging whether or not the program is to be continued corresponding to the state discriminated on the 3rd stage. |
