CODING SYSTEM FOR PICTURE

PURPOSE:To reduce the entire code quantity by implementing coding with one of plural pictures by plural cameras whose visual points differ from each other as a representative picture and coding difference picture only with a prediction picture generated from the representative picture. CONSTITUTION:A signal 101 in picture signals 101-103 by plural (three) cameras whose visual points somewhat differ from each other is used for a representative picture and a coding circuit 111 encodes the signal 101. Only a difference picture signal generated from an output of a coding circuit 11 by a prediction picture generating circuit 13 based on an output of a parallax parameter detection circuit 12 and the signal 102 by means of a subtractor 14 is coded by a coding circuit 15 and only the difference picture signal as to the signal 103 is coded and then the entire coding quantity is reduced.
