PURPOSE:To present irregularity in laser-beam shape in a laser discharging direction of a laser system that has no means for restricting a laser oscillating region in the laser discharging direction. CONSTITUTION:A slit 17 for restricting laser oscillation in a laser discharging direction is provided on front and rear sides in a laser resonator. When the slit width is made smaller than a space between main electrodes 3 and 4, a beam shape of the output laser beam becomes just a rectangular without irregularity in shape. Moreover, when this slit 17 is provided at an optical opening, for example, of a laser chamber 1, the location of the slit 17 related to the electrodes can be precisely determined. |
