PURPOSE:To cool a lamp container uniformly and prevent the lamp container from being damaged by cooling a discharged and light-emitting material contained in the lamp container while circulating the material in a circulation route through a heat exchanger for cooling. CONSTITUTION:A microwave discharge light source apparatus consists of a microwave oscillator 1 to oscillate microwave and a wave guide tube 2 to guide the microwave oscillated by the microwave oscillator 1. It also consists of a microwave resonance hollow body 3 which is connected with the wave guide tube 2 through an electricity supply inlet 4 and a lamp container 6 which is installed in the microwave resonance hollow body 3 and in which a discharged and light-emitting material is contained wherein the material is excited by microwave and is discharged and emits light. Further, it consists of a circulation route 7 connected with the middle part of the lamp container, a fan 8 to circulate the discharged and light-emitting material in the lamp container 6 in the circulation route 7, and a heat exchanger 9 to cool the discharged and light- emitting material circulated in the circulation route 7. |
