PURPOSE:To ensure position accuracy of a heat sink and to improve accuracy of the heat sink by providing a step to a central part of a metallic member wherein a terminal is sealed with glass and by packaging a heat sink material in the step. CONSTITUTION:The title device is constituted of a circular metallic member 1 wherein a collapsed terminal 2 and a terminal 3 are sealed with glass 4 and a step 1a is provided for packaging a block in an area near a center, and a heat sink member 5 which is constructed integrally with a heat sink block 6. It is constituted by brazing or projection welding. The heat sink member 5 is provided with a recess 7 for mounting a monitoring photodiode. The heat sink 6 is provided with a step 6a for mounting a photodiode for sensing an optical memory device signal. Since a projection 56 is provided on the heat sink member 5 and a recess 1b is provided on a step near a center of the circular metallic member 1, a position of the heat sink 6 to the circular metallic member 1 can be readily acquired. |
