PURPOSE:To provide the card type gate device which improves the operability of cards and further can improve card throughput by continuously accepting the cards. CONSTITUTION:Concerning this card type gate device for automatic ticket examination for judging whether the magnetic card is valid or invalid by reading the information of the magnetic card and for permitting the passage of a visitor when the card is valid, a card inserting port 5 is opened in the upper oblique direction, a card fetching mechanism 14 for pulling a card 11 thrown in from the card inserting port 5 into the machine and dispatching it to a card judge part 9 in a rear stage is installed between a shutter mechanism 8 in the back and the card judge part 9 in the rear stage and further, card sensors 15 and 16 are provided at the ends of entrance and exit of the card fetching mechanism 14. Thus, the cards can be continuouly accepted by accepting the next card during the procesisng of the preceding card basing on the signals of the card sensors 15 and 16 and temporarily holding the card inserted during this period inside the fetching mechanism 14. |
