PURPOSE:To make it possible to separately control respective light emissions from a plurality of luminous source circuits in a single package. CONSTITUTION:Each individual optical transmission unit 35a (35b) consists of a luminous element 30a (30b); drive circuit 32a (32b) which drives the luminous element; photosensor 18a (18b) which detects the optical output from the luminous element; and control circuit 34a (34b) which controls the drive circuit according to the optical output detection signals from the photosensor, and keeps the output from the luminous element almost constant. Two or more optical transmission units 35a and 35b, mentioned above, are installed in a single package 11 in such a way that their light emissions are controllable independently of each other. |
