Device for the transshipment of diverse cargo between road vehicles and rail vehicles, using lifting apparatus, which can move in the longitudinal direction of a railway line, with at least one store arranged between the railway line and a road. By means of the invention, the proposal is presented of placing, on different sides of the railway track 7, 8, an inward warehouse and an outward warehouse 6, 9, the outer side of which opposite the railway track is close to the respective road 4, 5 or 10, 11 for unloading or, respectively, to the load for unloading or loading, respectively, from the rail vehicles. The two warehouses 6, 9 have various lifting apparatuses for respective unloading or loading, which can move in the longitudinal direction, with which it is possible to transport units of cargo outside the railway track 7, 8, between the unloading and loading roads 4, 5 or 10, 11, respectively, and at least to the inward or outward warehouse, respectively 6, 9. Above the railway track are various transshipment lifting apparatuses 28 which can move in the longitudinal direction, whose work area extends laterally, over the railway track, outwards, in the direction of the two warehouses 6, 9. Laterally, next to the railway track 7, 8, there are auxiliary transporter means 29 which cover the work zones, separated from one another, of the unloading and loading lifting apparatuses 26 or 27, respectively and of the transshipment lifting apparatus 28 and by means of which it is possible to transport units of cargo, at least also perpendicularly to the railway track 7, 8. <IMAGE>
