<p>PURPOSE:To enhance safety and improve external appearance by forming at least a surface of a stanchion of a handrail for a balcony facing a building into a curved surface. CONSTITUTION:A transverse cross section of a stanchion 1 of aluminum is formed into a track-like shape such that the surface of the stanchion facing a building and outwards has a curved surface. The transverse section of a vertical member 6 constituting a lattice 7 is formed into an oval shape. A plurality of stanchions 1 are vertically provided on a floor slab and copings of aluminum are successively provided on the upper ends of the stanchions 1. A pair of lateral members 3 of aluminum, upper and lower, are fixed between adjacent stanchions 1, and the vertical members 6 of aluminum are attached to the lateral members 3 at predetermined intervals to form the lattice.</p> |
