PURPOSE:To prevent worsening the effect of a brake due to opening an EGR (exhaust gas reflux) valve when an exhauat brake is operated. CONSTITUTION:In the EGR device of an internal combustion engine 8 having an exhaust brake valve 15, a double passage part 11 is provided in an EGR passage 10, an EGR valve 18 is provided on the joined part of the double passage part 11, and an EGR valve 18 is composed so that exhaust pressure can be applied to valve parts 3 and 4 from opposite directions each other by providing two valve parts 3 and 4 on a single valve shaft 2. Since exhaust pressure load is self-balanced, even if exhaust pressure is suddenly increased when an exhaust brake is operated, the EGR valve is not opened, due to the effect. |
