<p>PURPOSE:To display a display screen apparently into N without providing various circuits for screen division as many as the maximum number of divisions of the display screen. CONSTITUTION:Start address registers 8 and 9 hold display start addresses for dividing the display screen. Address counters 10 and 11 generate display addresses by updating values in the corresponding start address registers 8 and 9 in order. A selector 12 supplies the display addresses outputted from the start address registers selectively to a video RAM 13. Here, if the value of the screen-A address counter 11 reaches the final address value of the display screen, the contents of the address counter are not reset and the address is still updated in order, so that the head address of the display screen is made successive to the final address of the display screen.</p> |
