PURPOSE:To miniaturize the separator, to realize good wavelength selecting ability, and to perform signal separation and wavelength tuning with a single constitution in an optical multiple signal separator separating a multiplied signal on an optical wavelength multiple transmitting system. CONSTITUTION:A polarization reversal area 32b and an optical waveguide 32c are formed on a substrate 32a, an optical second high frequency element 32 taking out an optical signal having a specified component from an optical multiple signal which will be inputted is provided, and also a photodetector 34 by which the optical signal having the specified component taken out from the optical second high frequency element 32 is received is provided. |
