PURPOSE:To automatically detect propriety of a quality of white or black stripelike image having a low contrast to be present on a copy sheet. CONSTITUTION:The image quality inspection apparatus for a copying machine comprises an image input unit 100 for collecting a copy sheet 500 copied from an inspecting chart, a moving unit 200 for relatively moving the sheet 500 and the unit 100, and an image processor 300 for inspecting whether the sheet 500 has a stripelike image quality malfunction NG or not based on image data 110 from the unit 100. The unit 100 has a line sensor camera 120, and a cylindrical lens 130 mounted in front of the camera 120. |
