<p>PURPOSE:To decrease current consumption during a standby term in a semiconductor integrated circuit provided with a UVEPROM which can be operated with a low power supply voltage. CONSTITUTION:Since a charge pump 8 is operated by a clock selected by a selective circuit 2, during a HALT term, an operating current is cut by cutting a clock inputted to the charge pump 8 and stopping the charge pump 8 corresponding to a selective signal from a control signal generator 5. On the other hand, an oscillator 3 is operated by a HALT releasing signal, the charge pump 8 is operated by the output clock of the oscillator 3 at a high oscillation frequency, and an output voltage VPM 9 is rapidly boosted. When the oscillator 3 is oscillated just by the set number of count-up timers 4, the operation is stopped by the end signal of the timer 4, and the input clock to the charge pump 8 is changed into a first clock 1 generated from an external clock. Thus, the operating currents of the oscillator 3 and the charge pump 8 are decreased.</p> |
