PURPOSE:To efficiently occlude and discharge a large amt. of hydrogen by forming a hydrogen storage alloy with the Ti, Zr, Mn, V, Ni, Fe, Co and Cr in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:This hydrogen storage alloy is shown by TixZr1-xMn0.6V0.2Ni1.2 M0.1. In the formula, M is at least one kind of element selected from a group consisting of Fe, Co, Ni and Cr, and 0<=x<=0.1. A hydrogen storage alloy electrode is composed of such an alloy or the hydride. Consequently, a hydrogen storage alloy electrode having a high capacity and rapid charge and discharge characteristic is provided. |
