<p>PURPOSE:To provide the supporting structure of an intake valve body for an internal combustion engine which is able to easily secure the extent of strength necessary for support, improving both working and assembling properties and make the extent of vibration in a throttle body to be attached to the intake valve body reducible. CONSTITUTION:An intake valve body 46 is divided into a lower body 62 and an upper body 64 on the same surface with a had cover joining plane 14 of a cylinder head 6. In succession, a lower body side joining plane 66 on the same surface with the head cover joining plane and a body side stiffener mounting plane 72 on the same surface with the lower side joining plane for attaching one end part of a stiffener 60 are installed in the lower body, while a head side stiffener mounting surface 76 on the same surface with the head cover joining plane for attaching the other end of the stiffener is installed in the cylinder head. Then, each of both throttle body lower and upper body side mounting parts 80 and 82, where a throttle body is attached, is installed both lower and upper bodies so as to make a center line 44C of this throttle body pass through on the lower body side joining plane.</p> |
