PURPOSE: To obtain excellent corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance or the like by forming a sheath for the prestress of a cylindrical body manufactured of a synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION: The sheath 1 for the prestress of a synthetic-resin cylindrical body, in which the friction coefficient of a synthetic resin is set within a range of 0.12-0.15 and a wobble coefficient is set in (0.8-1.2)×10<-3> /m, is molded. The thickness of the sheath 1 made of the synthetic resin is determined in response to minimum curvature in the case of arrangement into concrete and the number of PC steel wired housed in the sheath 1. Accordingly, the sheath is difficult to corrode even when it is installed in concrete for a prolonged period, and fatigue strength against repeated load can also be increased largely.
