摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain an exhaust particulate removing device for a diesel engine which can suppress consumption of a battery and improve startability by smoothly re-starting the engine which is stopped under the condition that the particulates are captured immediately before regeneration. CONSTITUTION:In an exhaust particulate removing device, particulates in the exhaust gas are captured by means of filters 5A, 5B arranged on an exhaust pipe 2 of an engine 1, and secondary air is supplied at a specified time for regenerating the filters. Secondary air passages 7, 8 are arranged respectively upstream and downstream from the filters 5A, 5B. An amount of the particulates captured by the filters during operation of the engine is detected, and the newest value is stored in a memory BRAM. When the stored value is higher than a reference value at the time of re-starting, the secondary air passage 7 or 8 is opened to atmosphere, so as to prevent deterioration of startability at the time of starting cranking, which may be caused by clogging of the filter 5A or 5B.</p>
