<p>PURPOSE:To improve the ignition voltage detection accuracy by enlarging the capacitance of a capacitor and prevent any corona discharge due to abnormal access and contact the electrodes of the capacitor and a leakage current from occurring, in installing the ignition voltage detecting condenser in an ignition coil unit to judge a misfire in a spark-ignition type internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 13 to be conducted to the output end of a secondary coil 8 is installed in an outer position of this coil 8 in a case 9 of an ignition coil unit 3 in a state that the base end is fixed and around a high- tension side end part of the secondary coil 8, and an insulating member 21 consisting of hard insulating material is interposed between a peripheral surface of the secondary coil 8 and the electrode 13, and a counter electrode 14 is installed in parallel with the electrode 13, thereby constituting a capacitor 15 for detecting an ignition voltage, in an interval between both these electrodes 13 and 14.</p> |
