PURPOSE:To provide the illuminating device which is thin and has good uniformity in illumination. CONSTITUTION:Reflecting plates 5 are arranged on the internal surface of a frame and a white translucent diffusion plate 3 is fitted to the front surface. Four straight tube type fluorescent tubes 4 which are cylindrically sectioned are arranged in the space surrounded with the frame and diffusion plate 3 to be distant from the frame and diffusion plats 3, almost in parallel to the frame and diffusion plate 3, and in parallel to one another. The reflecting plates 5 of tapes which have a high reflection factor along the length direction are stuck on the fluorescent tubes 4. The reflecting plates 5 are provided on the opposite side of the boundary diffusion plate 3 with the line of intersecting of the outer periphery of the fluorescent tubes 4 with a plane which passes the center of the section of the fluorescent tubes 4 and is almost parallel to the diffusion plate 3 as a boundary. The reflecting plates 5 are not provided except inside the line where a plane which passes the center of the cross section of the fluorescent tubes 4 and is perpendicular to the diffusion plate 3 and the outer peripheries of the fluorescent tubes 4 are intersected. |
