This relates to a compression type explosive which enhances the compression property and its safety by using ethylene vinylacetate as binder. The manufacturing method comprises: A) dissolving ethylene vinylacetate copolymer in toluene; B) injecting the above solution to the water-dispersed R.D.X to perform primary distillation; and C) adding toluene to perform secondary distillation. The explosive is composed of R.D.X 90-95 wt.%, ethylene vinylacetate copolymer 5-10 wt.% and dioctyl adipate or graphite 0-0.5 wt.%.
