The assembly unit (1) is used for the butt joining of wire lattice trays. The trays consist of longitudinal wires (3) and transverse wires (4) welded at their points of contact. The unit comprises a sheet meatal body (9) which is longitudinally rigid and is placed against two zones (10,11) aligned with the ends (12) of the wire cables to be joined. The unit has locating lips (30) and lugs (22) to engage horizontal wires, and end stops (21,32) to engage the transverse wires. USE/ADVANTAGE - As support and joining pieces for wire lattice trays for the support of cable runs. Allows for a certain degree of flexibility.
