PURPOSE:To obtain the subject material excellent in abrasion resistance, low in coefficient of friction and small in raise of temperature when sliding by kneading tale with zinc tertiary phosphate, a carbon aggregate and a binder and forming and burning the kneaded material. CONSTITUTION:(A) 2-10wt.% talc is kneaded with (B) 7-25wt.% zinc tertiary phosphate, (C) a carbon aggregate (e.g. coke powder or artificial graphite powder) and (D) a binder (e.g. pitch or coal tar) and then the kneaded material is formed and burned to provide the objective material. Furthermore, particle sizes of components A, B and C are each preferably <=43mum. Kneading of the components A to D is usually carried out at a temperature not lower than a softening point of the component D. |
