PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to replace an optical fiber at each time by replacing the terminal processing base, on which a fused optical fiber is mounted, altogether with a processing device. CONSTITUTION:Clamp guides 16 are provided on both sides of the opening part 14 of a base 12 which has the opening part 14, and clamp means 24 for optical fibers are mounted thereupon movably in the length direction (Z direction). Further, the clamp means 24 are pushed by a pushing means (spring 20, etc.) in non-abutting directions of the optical fibers to tense the optical fiber linearly. Terminal processing bases 10 is assembled in various devices one after another in order and the optical fibers are connected by fusion splicing or processed after the connection by processing parts appearing on the terminal processing bases 10 in the respective combinations. |
