The grass-cutter consists of a rotor (2) for breaking off the grass stems. This rotates at high speed around a horizontal axis (20), which lies transversally to the direction of motion, and progressively chops off the grass. It works in conjunction with a cutter (3), which also acts to hold the grass in position, preventing the blades of grass from lying flat. The cutters are arranged below the breaking device (2) and are fitted to lie approximately tangentially to, and just below, the cylindrical volume generated by the rotation of the breaker. USE/ADVANTAGE - It gives a high quality cut, at a height of five to fifteen centimetres.
