PURPOSE:To easily and accurately set a line format including an indent and a tab by moving a display made by a cursor position display auxiliary means according to a cursor in a document input and an editing area and a cursor on a cursor position display line. CONSTITUTION:This document editing device has the display part consisting of the CRT, liquid crystal display, etc., of a display device 40, the document input and editing area wherein a document is inputted and edited, and the cursor which indicates a character input position in the document input and editing area, and the cursor in the cursor position display area is interlocked with the cursor indicating the character input position. Further, the cursor position display auxiliary means makes the display only at the time of format setting and both the cursors are interlocked with each other. Then the cursor position display auxiliary means and both the cursors are controlled by a cursor control part 42, and expanded into image data by a display control part 41 and displayed on the display device 40. |
