PURPOSE:To enlarge and display a specified video part at a specific position on a display screen by providing an image changing means which changes the range of the image projected on the display screen. CONSTITUTION:When an operator specifies a desired part P1 to be viewed in an input image P0 formed with an input video signal VDR by using a position specifying means (9, 12A, and P3), a reference measurement frame generating means moves the image part in a reference measurement frame to a specific reference projection position on the display screen PIC and then projects it. Then video signal detection frequency characteristic data obtained by scanning the display screen PIC with a detection measurement frame are compared with video signal reference frequency characteristic data to select detection characteristic data with large similarity and the image changing means performs a tracking process by moving the image projected on the display screen PIC so that the image part of the detection measurement frame wherein the selected detection characteristic data are obtained are displayed in the reference measurement frame, and also performs a zooming process, so that the image is enlarged and displayed. |
