<p>PURPOSE:To prevent internal corrosion of an aluminum radiator by steadily supplying corrosion inhibitor to coolant to be circulated therein. CONSTITUTION:At least part of a corrosion suppressing vessel which is filled with corrosion inhibitor 3 is formed of a plate material 1 to be corroded and made of aluminum material exhibiting corrosive of the same as that of a radiator tube. A vessel body 4 may be formed of plastic. The inhibitor 3 includes, for example, cone or more types selected from chloride of Y, Ce, La, Pr and Nd, sulfuric acid compounds and nitric acid compounds. The vessel is mounted at an inner wall of a header tank at the side of a channel. Thus, the material 1 is corroded to match corrosion progress of the tube to elute the inhibitor 3 contained via an opened part by corrosion into a coolant system. Since the elution of the inhibitor 3 is started in response to the corrosion advancing state of the tube, anti-corrosion environment is maintained desirably for a long period.</p> |
