Variable valve control assembly - valve stroke change is effected by changing spring characteristics of springs

A change in pretension or spring characteristics of the spring (15) and/or the closing spring (11) is carried out, to change the lifting movement of the stroke valve (1). This leads to a change in the transmission resp. projection of the cam profile (3,4) into the stroke movement of the valve. The spring has a linear or nonlinear characteristic, esp. a strongly progressive one, to reduce the contact pressure between transmission lever (7) and cam base circle (5). Transmission lever and actuator part (8) are formed as rocker levers, and are located scissor-like relative to each other, connected and relatively turnable. ADVANTAGE - Simpler and more flexible, avoids complicated surfaces, and slide faces with high liability to wear.
