<p>A system and method for transmitting data bursts across a telephone network. The present invention allows voice and data transfer during a single telephone connection. Voice communication during data transfer does not corrupt or terminate the transfer. The present invention includes an interface device for encoding and decoding DTMF tones into data. Caller information can be selectively transferred by a telephone user to the called person.</p> |
