In a honeycomb body with a number of passages (14, 140, 142, 144) pass in a direction in which the body is bent. The novelty is that the thickness of the inner walls (10, 100, 122; 12, 120, 102) in a curved section on the outer side is larger than that of a walls on an inner wall; further than the interspace P between the inner walls (10) which define the passages, are larger on the external radial side of a curved section than on the inner radial sides. The thickness of the inner walls (10) gradually increase in a linear manner as from the radial inner side to the radial outer side. USE/ADVANTAGE - The unit is an extruded honeycomb structure made of a material such as ceramics or plastic. A fluid passing through the passages has a uniform velocity as it flows through the passages. Further, the catalytic efficiency of a catalytic converter made of such a honeycomb is enhanced.
