Plastic trim (1) for automobile door windows comprises a hard plastic base (3) and a softer plastic window support (2). For easier, smoother window operation contact strips (12) are attached to the trim (1) and comprise two polymers each with a different m.pt. The higher m.pt. plastic is in granular form (14) and is mixed with the lower m.pt. plastic. Trim prodn. is by coextrusion of the contact strips (12) together with the hard base (3) and softer supporting section (2). A roughened surface (15) is produced on the contact strips (12). USE/ADVANTAGE - In automobile doors for opening and closing of windows. Allows easier window operation, gives good sealing against rainwater and remains effective for longer time.
