An adjustable support is provided within a road vehicle for use with a lap-top computer (BC). The computer is secured by the base to an adjustable link supported on a carrier arm (T) that locates on a vertical pillar. The pillar has a tapered end that fits into a hole in a bracket (11) that is mounted onto the vehicle frame. The carrier arm may be moved through an arc such that the computer can be laid flat against the bulkhead when not in use.
