The invention concerns a condenser for a vehicle air-conditioning system, the condenser having a ribbed tube (10) fitted on each side with collector tubes (13, 14) which are divided by partition walls (17, 18) into an upper zone for condensing gaseous refrigerant and a lower zone for supercooling liquid refrigerant. Disposed parallel to one collector tube (14) is a collector tank (23) which is connected via a first opening (24) to the upper (condensing) zone and via a second opening (25) to the lower (supercooling) zone.
