<p>A wheelchair having a frame (12), the frame supporting a back support (14) and a seat (16), the frame carried by an undercarriage (18), the undercarriage including a pair of front caster wheels (18a), a pair of rear caster wheels (18b) and an intermediate wheel (18c) with a fixed axle, the front caster wheels (18a), the rear caster wheels (18b) and an intermediate wheel (18c) with a fixed axle having lowermost tangents lying in a commom plane, the frame (12) including a lower portion, the lower portion being rigid to inhibit relative vertical displacement between the front caster wheels (18a), the rear caster wheels (18b) and the intermediate wheel (18c) thereby to inhibit rocking of the frame (12) about the undercarriage.</p> |
