<p>A particulate detergent composition of high bulk density has a surfactant system comprising an ethoxylated C8-C15 aliphatic alcohol nonionic surfactant of low ethoxylation (2-6) and a high degree of chain branching (at least 40 wt% based on the alcohol) and is substantially free of low-ethoxylated nonionic surfactant having a lesser degree of chain branching. The use of highly branched nonionic surfactant improves delivery of the composition to the wash in an automatic washing machine, and also gives detergency benefits.</p> |
