The mass centre of gravity of the securing component is located at a distance from its rotary axis (15). The securing plate (11) is provided with several securing points (19) distributed over its periphery in which the securing component (12) engages when the centrifugal force is less than the force of the spring (13). As securing component a stop pawl (12 is provided which engages in the securing points of the securing plate (11). USE/ADVANTAGE - The vehicle tailgate can be comfortably secured with simple means in a required intermediate position.
