The leakage display device uses a pressure switch or pressure sensor (36) associated with each flange connection (F1..Fn) coupled via a 2-wire line (L1) to a pcm modulator (M1..Mn). The modulators are coupled together via a multi-wire line (L2), connected to a programmable control (44) evaluating the received pulse code modulation telegrams to indicate a leaking flange connection. Pref. a current and voltage limiting module (46) is incorporated in the multi-wire line for the signals fed to or from the programmable control.
