A process for producing polylactide molded bodies is characterised in that an amorphous polylactide semi-finished product or a compact amorphous preform is heated up to a temperature between 60 and 150 DEG C. The preform remains amorphous and is then extruded in a tool which is equally heated up to a temperature between 60 and 150 DEG C. The polylactide thus flows along multiple axes, is oriented and crystallized.
