A 0.9 percent (w/v) soln. of sodium chloride in distilled water is used in the measurement process. The lower end of the electrolyte capillary(3) is immersed in the sample to be measured in the sample vessel (4). A shiny platinum outlet electrode (5) dips in the measurement sample(7), parallel to the capillary (3). The surface is conditioned by high concentrations of chlorine ions (pref. larger or equal to two molar sodium chloride in distilled water). ADVANTAGE - Produces unambiguous quantitative result, also with existence of radicals disturbing influences occurring and/or harmful consequences by following reaction with inherent body substances.
