A cable of several individual conductors has an inner sheath of recycled material and an outer sheath of new material. The proportion of recycled material in the inner layer may alternatively be only 50% or between 20% and 40%. The two sheaths are applied to the cable core by co-extrusion using the same extruding head. Between the sheaths there is a binding agent like thermosetting glue. The sheaths are made of the same polymeric material like polyethylene and thus both have the same melting point, thickness and density. The inner sheath can have different colours. If three sheaths are used, the middle one is also made from recycled material. ADVANTAGE Recycled material is used
