<p>PURPOSE:To increase the mechanical strength of a connection section by connecting end sections of two-layer pipes constituted of outer layers made of a high-rigidity material and inner layers made of a thermoplastic resin with a pipe coupling, and fusing the inner layers via a projection made of the same material as that of the inner layers and provided at the center in the pipe coupling. CONSTITUTION:When two-layer pipes 2, 3 constituted of outer layers 21, 31 made of heat-resistant vinyl chloride and inner layers 22, 32 made of polyphenylene sulfide are to be connected, a cylindrical pipe coupling 1 made of heat-resistant polyvinyl chloride and provided with a protruded stripe 12 made of polyphenylene sulfide at the center section on the inner face is prepared. A heater 4 provided with cylindrical heating plates 42, 43 having different diameters on both sides of a support plate 41 is arranged between the two-layer pipes 2, 3 and the pipe coupling 1, and the inner face of a coupling main body 11 and the outer periphery of the two-layer pipes 2, 3 are concurrently heated and fused. The heater 4 is removed, the two-layer pipes 2, 3 are inserted into the coupling main body 11, tip faces are integrally fused to the protruded stripe 12, and outer peripheries are integrally fused to the inner periphery of the coupling main body 11 respectively.</p> |
