The retention strips (5, 6) have a pin register (10) which is so positioned that the pins can work in conjunction with the pass hole system of the plate (9). At least one of the retention strips has means (11) for execution of a rotation around an axis parallel to its longitudinal axis. The retention strips (5, 6) through this rotation are so adjustable to one another, that with the formation of a casing (17) the plate edges fixed to the strips (5, 6) can be connected. The retention strips (5, 6) in the starting position are spaced apart and in a plane are fixable to retainers (1, 2) positionable corresp. to the plate size. A slide table (8) is provided on which the plate (9) to be formed can be laid. USE - To produce a casing-shapes printing forme from cut plates, esp. offset printing plates.
