A rotating stand for a Christmas tree comprises a shell and a bracket (2) with a reducing motor (3) and a rotating gear (4) within the shell, a shaft sleeve (41) extended on one side from the centre of the rotating gear (4), a plurality of longitudinal slots (411) on the shaft sleeve (41) for passing through the conductor wires (8), a flange (412) on the top end of the shaft sleeve (41) and two annular electric conductors (51 and 52) fixed on the surface of the rotating gear (4) so that the sleeve (41) can be positioned within a cylindrical post (21) on the bracket (2), and the annular electric conductors (51, 52) can keep good contact with two conductors (22) on the bracket, and the shaft sleeve (41) can hold a trunk of a Christmas tree so that the Christmas tree can be rotated slowly.
