PURPOSE:To extract to the utmost the information contained in each picture and to obtain the complementary information by providing plural units of optional windows and at the same time selecting freely the background part excluding a noticed region like said noticed region. CONSTITUTION:A parameter, etc. are supplied from an input device 1 of a picture synthesizing system to set a noticed region extracted from each picture. A computer 3 segments the noticed region from the non-noticed region of each picture in response to said parameter and then synthesizes these regions based on the priority of pictures. At the same time, an original picture to be synthesized and a picture obtained after synthesization are stored in a memory 2. In addition, the synthetic pictures are displayed to a display device connected to the computer 3 with a sheet of monochrome picture region, two sheets of noticed picture regions and other picture regions in three colors (red, blue and green) respectively. Then the information contained in each picture is extracted to the utmost, and the complementary information is easily displayed. |
